First Aid Kits

It is your choice how extensive of and how many first aid kits to have.  Many people have some form of first aid supplies in their home and/or car.  For some, it may just be a box of band-aids and others, a full EMT kit.  Somewhere in between is perfectly fine, as long as it is something to fit your needs in the event of an emergency.  You can always add to it (or take away) as needed.

Did you know that HSA or Cafeteria funds can be used to purchase a first aid kit?  So, if you have some "use or lose" funds, stock up on a suitable first aid kit or two.

First Aid kits make wonderful Christmas gifts for your grown up kids homes, (or for yourself!) especially if you don't feel that you want to give "emergency preparedness supplies" as some people do.  Both are good ideas. Either will be relevant in an emergency or disaster situation.   First aid kits are available in various sizes and costs or you can put together your own customized to you and your family.  HERE and HERE is information on first aid kits and how to compile one. YOU can decide how extensive to build your own or purchase a pre-stocked kit.  You do not need to feel overwhelmed, start small if you need too and build up from there.  The point is... to be prepared.
